Jessica Jordin

Firefighter/Paramedic at Millbrook Fire Department

Jessica Jordin has been serving as a Firefighter/Paramedic since January 2024, following months of dedicated volunteer work that began in May 2023. Committed to saving lives and protecting property, she takes great pride in being the first full-time female firefighter/paramedic hired by her department. Every call she answers is an opportunity to make a difference, and she considers the ability to help others her greatest accomplishment. Beyond emergency response, Jordin stays engaged with the community through city-sponsored events, ensuring her service extends beyond the firehouse and into the lives of those she protects.

  • Key to Success: Just don’t quit. Eventually, you will meet your goals.
  • Guilty Pleasure: Recently, it has been reading.
  • Childhood Aspirations: I just wanted to enjoy what life had to offer and it wasn’t until the age of 21 that I truly found a job I wanted to do, and I’m blessed to be able to do that job.
  • First Job: Working at a local popsicle shop
  • Biggest Influence Personally & Professionally: It’s hard to pick one person who had the biggest influence on my career growth. I was fortunate enough to have many people who have been in the service for many years each encouraging me in their own ways.
