Matthew Smith is an HR Specialist III and Workforce Recruiter who has been with Hyundai Power Transformers Workforce since October 2022. In his role, Smith focuses on recruiting new team members, conducting new hire orientations and representing the company in the Hi Ed partnership program, where he introduces local high school students to various career paths. His dedication and teamwork earned him the title of Outstanding Team Member of 2023. Beyond his professional responsibilities, Smith is actively involved in his community as a volunteer little league sports coach and a member of the National Percussion Fraternity “Mu Phi Sigma.” Through the fraternity, he helps organize charitable initiatives such as providing water to local band programs, hosting free percussion clinics, feeding families during the holidays and running an annual back-to-school supply drive.
