Gina Franklin

YMCA of Greater Montgomery

Gina Franklin serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at the YMCA of Greater Montgomery, a role she assumed in December 2024. In her position, Franklin oversees the financial strategy for a multi-branch nonprofit organization, ensuring resources are aligned with mission-driven goals and positioned for sustainable, long-term growth. As she describes it, her work centers on turning vision into numbers that create real, measurable impact for the community.

Franklin considers stepping into the CFO role one of her most meaningful career accomplishments. Being trusted to help guide the organization through strategic growth, capital projects, and financial transformation is both a professional milestone and a personal honor. She finds deep fulfillment in knowing her work supports an organization that serves families and strengthens the community every day.

Community involvement is central to Franklin’s leadership philosophy. Through her work with the YMCA, she supports initiatives that expand access to programs, strengthen families, and invest in community spaces. She is also an active member of the Montgomery Rotary Club, where she values collaborating with other leaders committed to meaningful local impact. In addition, Franklin is passionate about mentoring and encouraging professional growth, particularly among emerging leaders in nonprofit and finance roles.

Franklin credits her success to staying curious, leading with integrity, and remaining grounded in the “why” behind her work. She believes the strongest leaders embrace collaboration, adaptability, and the willingness to step outside their comfort zones. Outside the office, she finds balance through time outdoors—whether that’s sunrise walks, spontaneous adventures, or discovering new places. She points to her father as the greatest influence on her personal and professional growth, crediting him with teaching her that people always come before profit and that integrity and investing in others create lasting success.
