Trent Thompson serves as Vice President of Retail for Priester Retail and Meriwether Marketplace, officially joining the retail store in 2022. A family-owned business, Thompson has been involved since marrying into the family in 2009 and helped launch their online presence in 2024. He oversees the gift side of the retail store, manages buying and merchandising, handles IT and leads staff scheduling alongside his wife.
Thompson’s career highlight came during his time as a test engineer for the Missile Defense Agency in Huntsville, where he received the Rising Star Award for his accomplishments within the Test Division. He is deeply involved in his community as a Youth Pastor and works with local organizations through the company to provide gift baskets and auction items, sharing a uniquely Alabama product both locally and out of state.
